Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I cant say their food is the best but it does have an adequate taste for its price. It is an affordable resto with a good and clean dining place. Their staff are attentive. It is not too crowded there. If you are looking for original Filipino dish then this is the resto for you."
"We were able to catch a sumptuous meal at 8:30p.m. outside Centrio. Ambiance is very classic, although it was very hot last night. They only have fans, no AC. Food is well prepared. Their native chicken is worth another round of nom nom. Sisig is a must try as well."
"I did tried their original restaurant located within the vicinity of Gaston park and there seems to be a stark contrast on how this one in Centrio differ from their main. First, the main restaurant was like a typical restaurant serving short orders or catering events. This one in Centrio was set up much like a canteen with ready- cooked meals on hot plate and these are served with rice and side dishes when ordered. Second, the Centrio branch has many desserts and pastries to choose from such as cheese cakes and buko brownies. When it comes to food, it is ok and was a fusion of Filipino and Hispanics origin something older folks from the 1960 and prior are quite familiar and would definitely appreciate. Their food is also quite affordable, about on par with popular fast food budget meals. Despite their novelty, the restaurant does not have many patrons dining (many younger folks seem unfamiliar and unable to appreciate the beauty of home cooked meals this restaurant served), and empty tables are abundant."
"If you’re looking for a homecooked meal that satisfy you inside the mall. I ordered nilagang baka and half rice. The beef was tender and there were lots of pechay with the soup. Will go back to try other dishes. Also, observed that the staff are very polite."
"I love the food here and the service is nice, and the atmosphere is nice as well "
"We wondered why they had a lot of customers during lunchtime, so we decided to try this restaurant out. The other reviews are correct, they serve "lutong-bahay" dishes as well as other dishes. It's like a karinderya but upscaled haha, where they display what dishes they have available and you choose which one you'll order. The food was delicious and more affordable compared to the other restaurants nearby it. Service was a bit slow but considerable because the place was packed during lunchtime, and it was the holiday season, so there were a lot of mall-goers. The interior was nice, homey, and calming, with the wooden decor and plants. They have a big space with enough tables to cater to a lot of customers. No AC though so it could get a little hot. My family likes Filipino food and especially my Lola just likes simple, homey food, so it's sometimes difficult to find a resto that's affordable and that doesn't sell mostly meat dishes. I think this is a great option if you're looking for an affordable resto with "safe" menu items to bring your parents and grandparents."
"Honestly can't say much the food is good if you want an authentic Filipino restaurant you can come here. The food is good as you would expect of Filipino cuisine and the price is fair for what you'd get. I'd rate it a 7/10"
"Ordered their lengua and blueberry cheesecake, and as expected, their lengua was still very good. Minindal used to be my go-to years ago for their lengue when they were still located in Divisoria. Although I wish they put the right price on their menu board outside as it turns out the lengua was priced ₱275, not ₱230 as indicated outside. Their blueberry cheesecake was alright. It's still quite good given the price. The place itself wasn't very great as it was quite hot eating inside as there is no air conditioning."
